William Bohrod, D.M.D.
- Dr. Bohrod received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette
College in 1979, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University
of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1983. During his dental
school training, Dr. Bohrod was involved in research funded by the
National Institute of Dental Health to determine the role of the immune
system on the progression of periodontal disease. He spent the next
year as a resident in General Dentistry at St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Paterson, New Jersey with a focus on Complex Restorative Dentistry and
Family Care including Pediatrics, Esthetics, Root Canal Therapy, Crown &
Bridge, and Periodontics, as well as Implants and Oral Surgery.
- Upon completing his training for his Certificate in General
Dentistry, Dr. Bohrod began his private practice in 1984 while teaching
dental students at Fairleigh Dickenson University Dental School, and
Union County College School of Dental Hygiene.
- Dr. Bohrod is a member of the Academy of Medicine of New Jersey
Dental Department. As an active member of the Newark Dental Club, Union
County Dental Society, New Jersey Dental Association and the American
Dental Association, as well as the Academy of General Dentistry, and
other professional organizations, he continues to update his skills with
numerous courses and seminars in all aspects of Dentistry.
- Dr. Bohrod has staff privileges at St. Barnabas Hospital in
Livingston, New Jersey and serves as the Director of Outpatient Care for
the Dental Department.
